Vincent Vanderpool Wallace is the key note speaker for the theme of branding and marketing of heritage. Mr. Vanderpool-Wallace is the Founder of the Bedford Baker Group, a group of independent professional advisors offering services in travel, tourism and hospitality. His experience as co-president of Resorts International, then the largest private company in The Bahamas, as Director-General of Bahamas Tourism, as Secretary General & CEO of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation and most recently as Minister of Tourism of The Bahamas has made him a much sought after speaker and advisor to both private companies and governments in the tourism and hospitality arena. He has been the principal architect of policies to ensure robust public-private sector cooperation in all of his initiatives as a result of bringing a unique perspective to the growth and development of businesses and destinations that rely on hospitality for their profitability and their economies.
He is a graduate of Harvard University (BA, cum laude) and the University of Miami (MBA) from which he graduated at the top of his class. He has won a number of awards including being named at the 50th Anniversary of the Caribbean Tourism Organization as one of the 50 most influential people in Caribbean Tourism in the past 50 years, being selected by Fast Company magazine as one of the Fast 50 global champions of innovation as well as awards for Lifetime Achievement from the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association (HSMAI) and from the Association of Travel Marketing Executives International (ATME). He was also named as one of the most extraordinary minds in Hospitality and Travel by HSMAI.
