Peter Chandler Studied architecture in Halifax Nova Scotia, one of Canada’s oldest cities with a significant architectural heritage. This is where is interest in conservation begins. Peter Chandler is an active member of the core group of Trinidad’s NGO, Citizens for Conservation. In his talk Peter will be addressing the matter of shared histories, illustrating from examples taken from his own Trinidad & Tobago. “We in the English Caribbean share a common past in that we are all former British colonies sharing a common language and laws yet we are each uniquely different due to the circumstance of history and development. Branding is about creating an identity for a company organization or product and in marketing we know that if there is not a perceivable difference between products in a common market, the offering becomes a commodity at which point the only differentiator becomes cost with lowest cost producer ultimately gaining the majority market share.”
