Share your ideas at the heritage conference this November

We are looking for engaging participants who are interested in presenting their ideas during the 3rd Caribbean Heritage Conference in Curaçao this November. Expert key note speakers will be talking about the 4 subject areas defining the contents of the conference. To create an interesting discussion and multiple perspectives on the topics presented, short presentations will be held by you and we are looking forward to your submissions! Details about submission guidelines can be found here.

The main subject areas are:

  1. Underwater heritage and archaeology
  2. Financing heritage preservation
  3. Branding and marketing heritage
  4. Adaptive re-use of built heritage

The submission deadline is July 30th 2017 and your submission can be sent to hello@curacaoheritage.com, following these guidelines. Presentations by panelists will be between 10 -12 minutes. We will strictly adhere to these time limits! English is strongly recommended as the primary language for presentations.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • submit an abstract of no more than 150 words clearly outlining the main topic of the presentation and how it fits one of the 4 main subject areas;
  • an outline of the presentation;
  • a short bio (preferably no longer than 2 paragraphs) indicating your education, professional development and current professional focus;
  • a current photograph in high resolution;
  • for any additional questions, please contact us by sending an email to hello@curacaoheritage.com

After receiving all the information listed above, the submission committee will evaluate whether the presentation proposals match the subject areas. Since we can only accommodate a limited number of panelists we urge you to submit your information as soon as possible. The commission will notify the panelists no later than September 1st, 2017.

Submit now and make heritage matter!
